The last post I was writing about putting together curriculum. If you saw everything I have you would fall over. :O)
I just went through things for 5th grade and I have everything except Latin DVDs.
Tom will probably be doing:
Story of the World...I have all of them so I' m not sure if I want to start at 1 or 2. We did 1 a few years ago. Maybe I should just do it every day so we can get all 4 done by 7th grade. If that's possible. Handwriting, art, reading, spelling, and english could be included in this. I have so many other books for him to read also.
Music...will be done through junior choir at church. Maybe I could find books or cd's with the music from the different countries/times in SOTW. This doesn't need to be done everyday.
Becca on the other hand is tough. I really think she was extremely bored this year. Yes, she likes to read but I think she was missing some challenge. I'm trying to get her to "crash course" the Prima Latina so she can do Latin next year. I know PL is for younger children but it would get her started...I'm thinking of doing this also because Tom is doing very well with this and I'd like to know what he is talking about when he really gets into it. She has so many "plans" for her life...college, marriage, not marriage, missionary, etc...I can't wait to find out what she will really be doing when the time gets here. She's so undecided. I know, she's only 14... but she's really going on 25.
As I finished with Katie on the other post, she also knows her shapes and colors. If I can just figure out how to get her to read...while she's running in circles....laying upside down on the couch...hanging from the chandelier...only kidding on that one but wouldn't put it past her. She's already climbed the heater pipes (we have an old house).
Gotta go..the girls are really being handfuls today.
