For Kelly, Chrissy, Kristy, Tricia, and others who are going through trials, I'm praying for you. You are all so special. God chose you because I believe you are an excellent testimony for the Lord.

Gracie, our family loves you and we are praying that you will get better and be able to get out in the beautiful world to play and play and play. To be able to play with your brother Ty, your cousins and all your friends. I can't wait to see your beautiful face smiling down "church's" hallway, running from your Grandmom with all your stickers. :0)

Thank you Jesus for all these special people.

Clean Room and Stella is back!

Finally! I had the time to clean Tom's room...what a disaster. I can now see the beds and the floor. It was well worth the time. on Friday I actually cleaned the mudroom....that was worth it also. It looks nice. Unfortunately we know why it's a mudroom....Mud/Dirt! which will probably happen in the near future.

Way back in my beginning posts I had mentioned we probably had a skunk (Stella) under the porch. Well, we thought she left so Ed blocked it up. Well, we now believe she is back again. We need to get rid of this ... she was walking under there while the kids were playing and the dog wasn't even bothered by it. I think his smelling and hearing are going. Honestly, this skunk hardly smells which is really weird. ~~~~~~~
On Saturday, we gave some neighbors roses and other flowers and they were so happy. It is so nice to see people this way. These flowers were given to us by a friend who is given things from other people...free....so he gave us at least 2 dozen roses, and alot of some others...I don't remember the names. Ed asked if I was going to keep some (which I kept a small few) but I said I'd rather make other people happy. If I could, I'd try to make people happy all the time.

Very early this morning I had to go and get a Thyroid Ultrasound. I had this done over 6 months ago. I have some nodules on my thyroid that were some concern. The last time we had a biopsy and the tests showed cells but they had no idea what they were. Now I have to go and get blood work in a couple of weeks and then my check-up. I guess if this us shows something more they will call...I hope. I do have a feeling that the nodules got bigger...just because of how the technician was so quiet and then she asked me if I was going for more tests today. Well, we just have to wait and see. I do feel fine though...no choking feelings and there is no swelling in my neck.

Today is such a beautiful day. The sun is bright with a cold air but still it is nice for the kids to go out and play today. I have to clean one of the bedrooms ... what a mess!...toys, clothes, etc... I can't stand looking at it anymore. So, after I'm done maybe we will take a nice long walk.

Have a beautiful day!

I have to write this. I am so tired of people complaining. I never want to say anything but I have to. I just read a blog about a woman who is pregnant with her 2nd child. All she does is complain how sick she is...get over it. Believe me there are many moms out there that would love to be sick and pregnant. I've been reading many lately that have lost their children early in pregnancy or to the end of their pregnancy and giving birth to their child passing away in a few days...etc..... There's no doubt in my mind that they would love to feel their child inside again...sick or not. No, it's definitely not a field day to go through...I went through it with 8 children and believe me I couldn't get up to walk to the bathroom with some of them because of throwing up constantly, or standing in line at a store and sitting right down on the floor because of fainting etc.....but like I said, get over it and start enjoying knowing the fact you have a beautiful life inside you and this is just something that will pass.

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!!

HAPPY EASTER! THE LORD IS RISEN!
I PRAY YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL SUNDAY!
IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE LORD JESUS, YOU CAN....
IF YOU BELIEVE ON HIM, KNOW THAT HE WAS GOD'S SON, DIED ON THE CROSS, AND ROSE AGAIN, AND WILL COME AGAIN, ....JUST PRAY (ONLY ONCE), AND ASK HIM INTO YOUR HEART TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS AND HE WILL.
HE WILL BE WITH YOU ALWAYS, THROUGH GOOD TIMES AND BAD. YOU WILL HAVE HIM TO LOOK FORWARD TO WHEN YOU PASS AWAY FROM THIS EARTH. YOU WILL LIVE FOREVER WITH HIM.
JOHN 3:16
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
I PRAY FOR ALL OF YOU, I CARE FOR YOU...EVEN THE PEOPLE I HAVE NEVER MET. I SAY QUICK PRAYERS FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE WALKING DOWN THE ROAD, PEOPLE I READ ABOUT ON THE INTERNET, NEWSPAPER, ETC.....EVERYONE NEEDS THE LORD.
HAPPY EASTER,
LOVE,
MARGARETE

German Soldiers (continued)

Check out my new blog:
Here is a picture of a German World War II band.
I will be asking my mom to help me figure out where some of these pictures were taken. I have quite a few.
I do have some from France. I also have pictures of Hitlers Eagles nest and some others when they were destroyed....I'm not sure who took these...If they were bought or what. I have to ask mom.
She has more for me so I most probably will be making a new blog for just photos from World War II from the German Army perspective.
We do not know who most of these people are, but I do think it is very interesting anyway.
It will take me awhile considering I have to take care of my family .... LOL!!! I could sit here all day doing this!

Yesterday my mom gave me some pictures of my grandfather in the German Army during World War II. These are cool. I thought I would share one. Maybe as I go through them I will post more.

March 16, 2008

I woke up singing this song....
I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised and I shall be saved by my enemies, the Lord liveth and blessed be the name, the rock of my salvation shall be exalted.
Now, I'm not sure all the words are correct but it is stuck in my mind and the thing is, I have not listened to this in quite awhile. So, I'm guessing the Lord wants me to know that he is with me at all times. Just a side note; I've been quite grumpy lately and let's say, "down in the dumps". This song made be quite happy today and I have been really excited to get to church.
Have a great Sunday!

POST FOR MARCH 13, 2008

HAPPY 23RD BIRTHDAY, EDDIE!

WE LOVE YOU!
WOW, DOESN'T DAD LOOK SO PROUD? HE STILL IS!

I Thought I would share these pics. of my days working in daycare: Winnie The Pooh Party

This is from about 10 years ago. I drew these Winnie the Pooh posters to hang up and also did the flowers. We got balloons blown up and hung Winnie the Pooh on all of them...they floated around the room...That was cool!
(I did not draw the pics. on the bulletin board)
Unfortunately, I do not have these anymore.

March 8, 2008

The last post I was writing about putting together curriculum. If you saw everything I have you would fall over. :O)
I just went through things for 5th grade and I have everything except Latin DVDs.
Tom will probably be doing:
Story of the World...I have all of them so I' m not sure if I want to start at 1 or 2. We did 1 a few years ago. Maybe I should just do it every day so we can get all 4 done by 7th grade. If that's possible. Handwriting, art, reading, spelling, and english could be included in this. I have so many other books for him to read also.

Music...will be done through junior choir at church. Maybe I could find books or cd's with the music from the different countries/times in SOTW. This doesn't need to be done everyday.

Becca on the other hand is tough. I really think she was extremely bored this year. Yes, she likes to read but I think she was missing some challenge. I'm trying to get her to "crash course" the Prima Latina so she can do Latin next year. I know PL is for younger children but it would get her started...I'm thinking of doing this also because Tom is doing very well with this and I'd like to know what he is talking about when he really gets into it. She has so many "plans" for her life...college, marriage, not marriage, missionary, etc...I can't wait to find out what she will really be doing when the time gets here. She's so undecided. I know, she's only 14... but she's really going on 25.

As I finished with Katie on the other post, she also knows her shapes and colors. If I can just figure out how to get her to read...while she's running in circles....laying upside down on the couch...hanging from the chandelier...only kidding on that one but wouldn't put it past her. She's already climbed the heater pipes (we have an old house).

Gotta go..the girls are really being handfuls today.

Today I have decided that I will be putting together my daughter's 9th grade curriculum (not just books). I have so many books that I need to do this. I will probably ask our evaluator to help because: 1. she loves Becca :); 2. She was a teacher for 30 years AND also homeschooled. 3. She is a wonderful person and I know she would help me. :) So, I guess I will be writing down the books I have and then put them into some study. I noticed that BJU has geography for 9th grade but I would like her to have history with this. Becca loves to read anything .... she has even read through textbooks . (I find them boring.)
I will be doing the same with Tom's 5th gr. curr. He is not quite as fast as Becca so I have to remember to make it simple and not overwhelming...I have to relax with him because I tend to go real fast with things. He does enjoy lapbooks (I cut them out or we would be here forever). He does the other stuff and then adds colorful paper behind the flaps and decorates the folders...we use different colors...to make them more exciting. I will probably try to use the homeschoolshare website...free lapbooks and booklets....
Katie is going to be 5 in the summer but she cannot seem to sit still...(adhd). She already knows her alphabet, counting, cutting and she likes to write down words that she asks you to spell. She is also asking us to tell her stories from the Bible (which she interrupts and finishes for us :)). She wants to lapbook but like I said, she can't sit.
More later......

We are back from church and I want to say that these handicapped people have grabbed my heart. Today I was in a different room from the last time. There is a man in there who now has to wear a helmet because he now has seizures. I was told that he will "just fall over" and have a seizure. I was a little worried because he was sitting next to me...but thank the Lord nothing happened. :) I guess everyone is so used to this it doesn't scare them. Also, Mary, from the other class I was in, called me over to ask me to pray for her because she has to go to the hospital for tests...from my understanding she has diabetes. So, if you can remember her in your prayers I would be grateful. They just started a choir class for them (who ever wanted to do it...about 9 people. They knew the song right away and did a great job. Oh, and one more thing, please pray for the caretakers of these people...some are good and some not so good. Please pray that the Lord would put it into their hearts to really take care of them and be good to them. Also that they will to church...I don't believe any of the care takers do.

My husband is not feeling well so when he gets home from the Sunday bus, he will have some chicken soup and probably go to sleep. I'm hoping it's not the flu. We have done very well this year with sicknesses...hardly any.

Just want to let anyone reading my blog .....know that I pray for you. (Whether I know you or not). :0)

Here are some accountability issues for me: Since I'm writing these here I have to do them!

Good Sunny Sunday morning to all of you. I reached my first weight loss goal today. My next is 5 more lbs.

Today at church, I will be in with the handicapped today. I'm really looking forward to it.

My cleaning goal this month is: On Easter break I WILL clean out the kitchen, mudroom, and the 2 bathrooms. They need such a good cleaning and bleached.

Have a great day.
