We are done. I'm tired, Tom's tired and Katie is busy with her plastic cup telephones. Ana wants to finish her snowman puppet.
We read alot today. Katie read the Bible. We read some books from Scholastics Word Family Tales: -ing; -op; -in; -ank; -ip; -ink; -ice. These were read last school year but the girls never tire of them. The D'Aulaire Columbus Book is finished. We read the 'How Does Science Work? Exploring Sound' and did the plastic cup telephone experiment along with the blindfold (can you hear) experiment. We also read, again, 'What's a Pair, What's a dozen?' The girls now know what uni, bi, tri, dozen, half-dozen, baker's dozen, etc. mean.
We also finished the 'Where is England' and Where is Massachusetts' booklets. The girls did the John Cabot exploration map (from history pockets) and glued everything to colored paper for their binder. Oh, yesterday they colored in the 'shoal' cutouts and made the picture for John Cabot so that went into the binder also.
Katie pulled out the big foldable bodies they did last year. We attached the ear project from the other day to the head. I will take a picture.
Pictures will be coming soon. I'm a bit lazy at the moment.
Tom finished all his reading and did some ear worksheets appropriate for his age.
Becca's been babysitting for a friend for the past 3 days. So we really haven't seen her.
Maybe more later.
