I Would Like To Take A Nap

I am so tired. Nothing major is going on and I'm getting to sleep at a decent hour. I think it is just the fact that I'm sitting with the kids, reading, feeding, dishes, laundry, etc. in such a short time it is catching up to me. We have been done for the day for the past 40 mins. or so. The kids were getting antsy (me too) so it was time to close the books.

Katie really enjoyed learning about Christopher Columbus. I have a few more pages of the book to read and we are done with him. She put her notebooking pages together and we will now move on to John Cabot. This will be very short.

I read a book 'Fraction Fun' this morning and we did the first activity. Katie and And took 3 paper plates and followed the directions for making fraction pizza pies. They enjoyed it. I don't think Ana understood it...that's kind of over her head right now. But, she likes to be involved.
Tomorrow we will weight some money and put this into fractions.

Tom enjoys the Inquiry Science, alot. So do we. ~smile~ Today he had to watch 6 m&m's dissolve in water at the same time. Some dissolved fast, some, slow, some in pieces. You would think they would all do the same thing but, nope.

I have been getting breakfasts ready at night. I put the cereal in their "special" bowls and cover them with plastic wrap. Ed had his oatmeal ready with the measuring cup ready and his sugar. Oh, and for the girls I give them some marshmallows on the side. ~smile~ Their drinks are all ready in the refrig. This really helps in the morning.

I also try to have the girls' clothes ready for the morning. Sometimes they don't like what I put out. If they can get something decent on and put the other clothes away that's fine. For church or going out, that is a different story.

For dinner tonight, I have a roast with vegetables and potatoes in the crockpot (this was ready last night), and bread baking in the oven. I did the dough in the bread machine. Katie will not eat roasted potatoes no matter how we try to get her to do this so I also have 2 potatoes baking. ~Easy~

We have to go and sign up for Awana tonight. I don't feel like going anywhere. I'm not lazy, I'm tired. I need to go because a friend is lending me Teaching Textbooks 7 and I have to get it from her. That saves quite a bit of money. (I all ready mentioned this in another post).

Our trip for Williamsburg is on! Our hotel has been reserved...I am ready to go now. This is so exciting. I had mentioned before about what I was going to do for food. Well, I decided we will also eat dinners in the hotel room; they have a microwave. We may go out one night if we can get together with our son and his wife. (Hurray!!) You might think we are cheap but no, we have very little money to use for this so I'm going to do my best with it. ~smile~

Time to get moving. Getting laundry off the line, Tom can empty the dishwasher, and I'm going to sit down for a short while.

Enjoy the rest of the day.
