Sick...Again!

The kids just took a short break for lunch and a card game so I thought I'd quickly write something.

This weekend I ended up with a viral infection and major allergies. Right now I'm on 2 medications and can't talk to well. The kids like that. Anyway, I think this was sparked by the walk in the woods down in Virginia. We were walking along one of the paths in Cincoteauge and I started getting big red bumps; hives I suppose. By that evening, Ana looked like she was punched in the eye. What ever it was hit us good. Ana's went away and I guess mine decided to stay awhile. Never have I had such burning in my throat that also went to my ears. I do feel like I'm getting better and I'm sure by Friday there will be a huge difference.

More pictures of Williamsburg are due on here so hopefully that will be in the next day or so.

Tom wrote a short journal page about the things he saw in Williamsburg. Katie wanted me to go back to the library and get the video about the indian homes but in was checked out. That made a big impression on her. I do believe though, that she thinks indians are still in the woods. ~LOL~ I'm sure we'll get past that soon. I tried to explain to her that they are just like us but she walked away. ~smile~

Ana likes to have conversations about horses. She plays, talks, reads all about horses...she thinks she's a horse!

Ben had an incident last night. He went to (college) class early and met a friend their. They decided to go somewhere and he drove off....with his art supplies on top of his roof! After a few minutes he turned around to find them but they were gone. I'm hoping, and praying that someone turned them in. They were around $150.00!!

Becca had her last EMT class last night. She must make up a test she failed. :( She missed passing by 3 questions.

Monday night, sick and all, I went to the disabilities meeting. This is a group that meets for anyone that has disabilities, taking care of anyone with disabilities, autism, etc. There was an older couple there that has custody of their grandchildren. One is special needs. So, as the grandmother was talking to us, (she wants to get the child out of the public school), she tells us that she got an advocate for the child and called the principal to let them know that she wanted to come in and observe the child in the classroom. Well, (I almost hit the roof when she said this), The principal said, "My man upstairs doesn't want her in the house".
!!!!
WHAT!!
I was told yesterday, that is illegal. What in the world is wrong with everyone?! All special needs kids around us need help and it is such a fight. Such nonsense!!
