4th Day of School

Today was off. Wow! Ben had to go into work. They then changed his time and the kids work never got done in the morning. When the afternoon came, Tom did some work; listened to SOTW 1 and read some of SOTW 2. We are still working on 2. Yes, we're slow and that's ok. He loves his history.

Katie worked on phonics. Her head was in the clouds today. She was not getting it. It didn't help that it's a very rainy, windy, cold day today. The kids always act up on a day like this.

Katie and Ana did do their world lapbook but they were very "antsy".

Tonight Ben and Becca will start volleyball. They will definitely enjoy this.

On a sad note, we had a bird's nest in our front tree. It was really nice hearing the babes chirping. When we went out to take Ben to work there was a poor little baby bird dead on the sidewalk. It was so sad! The nest fell out because of the wind. I know I had heard more than one baby so I guess I should check to see if there is another in the branches. I don't believe they were old enough to fly.

My computer went down since I had started writing this. Now I'm on the other computer which never works well. I'm not going to worry about it. The only thing is I can't get my pictures off (or put pictures on here) and can't make any lapbook stuff. I told Tom that he will have to do his lapbooking the old fashioned way...by writing the booklet headings himself! It will still be fun.

While my computer was going haywire I went into the kitchen and fried some chicken for dinner. Everyone loves this! I made it with sorghum and coconut flours. Yum!

Have a good night.
