2nd Day of School

Today was a little rough. We did our usual routine, go to the local church which has a hugh play area and cafe'. We only stayed about 1 1/2 hr. (which by the way, is very short for us). There are many kids there that the kids play with and I always meet a few women there. We chat and the kids have a great time. Well, afterwards, Katie seemed very off. She wouldn't sit and she was very defiant.
I did threaten to send her to school, but all that does is get myself upset. It doesn't bother her in the least. I'm thinking of changing our schedule for that day. Probably going to the cafe' later in the day. This way we can be relaxed for schoolwork first thing in the morning.

I took Tom to his first day of choir, and started to talk to one of the moms. She was very encouraging to me. By the time Tom was back home Katie seemed better. I got out the world map lapbook that the girls will be doing and she and Ana worked on that. They colored, learned about the continents, oceans (which Katie remembered from last school year), and they both remembered the compass rose. We read a little from the Abeka 'America, Our Great Country' LARGE book and then we sat and put together some sticker dolls from around the world. (this is listed on my Loving Life Lapbooks blog)

I have to get some type of Bible together for them. This is being neglected which isn't good.

Now it is extremely quiet. Ana is actually under her homeschool table (LOL!!)and is still putting together the sticker dolls. Katie is playing up in her room, Tom's playing in his room, Ben was working out and Becca is sitting here bothering me. ~smile~

Last night I started to attend a bible study with a few friends. It is the Beth Moore "Esther, It's Tough Being A Woman" study. It is really good. I have never heard of her and I understand she has alot to offer.

We are sitting here waiting for Ed to get home. He will be bringing home pizza and fries!
