Day Gone Bad

Ugh! As soon as I said we had a day off and the kids were going to do crafts my printer broke! I took it around the corner. They said the paper sensor died, meaning my printer is dead. Sigh, I really need it. I was putting some lapbook folds together for Tom and now I don't know if Ed can get another one right now. Blah.....

Good Morning Everyone

Today I need to bake pies, cookies, brownies and also make some muffins and rolls for Thanksgiving. So, we are off until next Tuesday! Hurray!! The kids want to do some crafting on their own so while I'm in the kitchen they will be gluing, cutting, and just having plain old fun.
I pray everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Please remember in your prayers:
Alyssa ( a young woman from our church family) having surgery to remove a tumor from the front of her brain.
Noah (Our Quiverfull)
Jane and George: they had lost their 24 yr. old daughter a few weeks ago
And especially a prayer for all the people that are losing jobs, etc... (we know quite a few).
I love you all and may God bless your days!!

Food update

Katie has been eating eggs and is doing very well. Oh, this is good. She has had no itching or any other reaction so far. She loves to eat these for breakfast (not everyday). I still use egg replacer in other things because I find it is much cheaper. I bake alot so that is ideal for me.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Election Results

I am saddened for our country. I cannot believe Mr. Obama is now our president. Yes I will respect him because of this BUT, I believe our country will never be the same. He is not for what this country stands for. He is for government control, abortion, our rights are going to be slowly taken away, etc.... We all need to pray, especially for our children's future. This is going to affect them so much it's scarey.
When it is election time you are to vote for the person who you think can/will do the job. This was not the case for some people who were interviewed on tv last night. What were/are they thinking??
Yes I cried. I do know that Jesus Christ is my saviour and someday I will be with him and will never cry or worry again. I will pray continually for my little ones that are not saved so they can enjoy eternity with no fear or tears and especially be with the Lord.
Last but not least I will pray for Mr. Obama.

ELECTION and ELECTION MAP

Today our house is full of excitement. Jon, Tom and I went to vote this morning. This was Jon's first time. He doesn't show much emotion but I do believe he was excited to be voting. I actually jumped out of bed ready to go....that's amazing because I really wasn't looking forward to this. Eddie, on the other hand, doesn't want to vote but he will.
I have been doing election stuff with Tom today. He/we will all be doing the Electoral College Map (BELOW). Tom has one for a lapbook and we will be doing a large wall map. For each state won, we will stick a small picture of the winner ... http://vintageholidaycrafts.com/category/paper-dolls/ .... If you go to this website you can print out election "buttons" AND McCain/Obama paper dolls. I minimized the paper dolls to use for the winners on the map. I will have to post pictures tomorrow. We also got the election lapbook booklets from http://www.homeschoolshare.com/ .
This is going to be a long day. ;0)
WE ARE READY!

Katie Food and Tape

Katie hasn't had apples or eggs for a very long time. Apples make her extremely hyper and she tested positive to egg allergy. This past weekend I made applesauce bread (Gluten, casien, egg free) She had a piece and nothing happened!! I made the applesauce by just pureeing (spelling???) the apples. I didn't add sugar, lemon juice or anything to them. The past 2 days I gave her an egg for breakfast. So far nothing has happened. I do know that it can take a couple of days or so to show up. We will see what happens. It would be really great if she can eat apples again. Milk, on the hand, is another story. As soon as she has something made with it, she will get all miserable and extremely itchy/hives/eczema.

Katie is doing remarkably well with the Gluten Free diet. What a change.

She is a taping, cutting, gluing, craft making fanatic! Yesterday and Today she had the one whole room taped up. She literally just tapes everything...LOL!!!! Outside she usally has a long clothes line and wraps it around everything! Tomorrow I will try and post the "hat" she made after watching 'Curious George'.

Have a good night everyone!
