www.homeofheroes.com
This is a great site to learn about our true heroes.
Tom will be using this for his school next year.
This pdf is from the same site.

So, it wasn't just people that are some heroes. ~smile~
I added a new notebooking page on the hslaunch link at the right side bar. It is for Cher Ami. :)

Dentist
Straight to the point.
I took her to our dentist over a week ago. Turns out she has a decayed/broken tooth in the back and many other issues. She isn't complaining much if at all. Well, they wanted her to go to a pediatric dentist so I chose one close by. I booked an appointment right away and went through the evaluation and at the end found out that this dentist does not use the gas. Also, when I left I started get that "gut/mommy feeling." You know, the one when you start knowing that something isn't right or good for your child. By the time I had gotten to my next destination I was actually feeling like I was going to throw up. The feeling was overwhelming.
I had posted on fb the question if someone had used this dentist before. I got two replies. One was not good and the other was good. I still went with my feelings.
I couldn't sleep that night and prayed, a lot! I woke up and the name of the pediatric dentist Tom had popped into my mind (at least 10 years ago, I believe). So I got an appt. with them.
We went yesterday and the total bill for "many" problems Ana has with her teeth came to almost $3,000.00. Her broken tooth is turning into an abscess...this is the most important at the moment.
I really like this dentist. They did a great job with Tom and I was very relaxed with them. Ana was also and that is what is most important right now.
We do not even have the money to pay 1/2 of this, if that is what the dental insurance will take. So, if you would pray for us that God would do something with this, I would really appreciate it. I know he can and will.
Thanks so much,
~Margarete~

Ants
Ed and Tom were working on our neighbor's house today. They had to fix a piece of wood underneath her big front window. When they pulled the old wood off they found ants. They were going crazy trying to save their larvae.
We didn't see the queen.
If you click on the picture, you will get a better look at them.

Archaeology
Today Katie decided to be an archaeologist. She roped off some of the backyard and started digging. Ana joined in and they found some rocks, and a bone of some kind. It is definitely not a dog bone. I think it is a chicken bone. (?)

Fun Pictures
Katie and Ana having fun during one of our walks
This is a squirrel that posed for me at the park today.
This bird saw me walking towards it and stopped. It kept doing things like it knew I was taking its picture.
Tom and his nice smile.
