For Christmas our oldest son gave us a juicer and my mom gave us a blender (probably my 10th blender in my married life, LOL!) Anyway, today we had a carrot, apple, banana smoothie and "Wow"! was that tasty. Ed likes to have grapefruit juice, so on Christmas Eddie made us some but left the rind on...What a punch! Our lips were 'pursed' for quite sometime. LOL!
These are excellent Christmas gifts which will get a lot of use. My mom also bought me a mixer so I can keep the gluten free baking away from the wheat baking. It seems, though, that we are going more towards the gluten free now. Ed has now tasted some good foods. ~smile~
Yesterday, I made peanut butter / carob cookies with no flours. They are delicious. I'm going to keep converting recipes and compiling them into a recipe book which will be especially for Katie. After each recipe is written I write 'I Love You' at the bottom. ~smile~
The kids are enjoying their time off. Well, most of it. I have had Tom read some of his books...it won't kill him, he will live. He can't sit on Xbox 360 forever.
Katie and Ana love playing in the snow (you can see pictures below). We had their friend Cassidy over yesterday and they had a good time. I enjoyed "quiet" time with her mom, Liz. We did a lot of laughing and enjoyed a cup of tea. Hopefully we will be doing that more often.
Time to get moving with my day.
Enjoy Today
